REGISTRATION AND DEREGISTRATION OF EMPLOYMENT
The registration and deregistration of employment, i.e. mandatory social insurance is regulated by the Labor Law, the Law on Employment and Insurance in case of Unemployment and the Law on Labor Records.
REGISTRATION OF EMPLOYMENT
The employer is obliged to register any employment and any termination of employment.
The employer may register the employment electronically (only for the private sector) or directly in the Employment Center.
The employer is obliged to register the employment at least one day before the employee starts to work, by submitting the required documentation in the Employment Center on whose territory the headquarters or place of business of the employer are situated.

The deregistration of employment is done by the employer by submitting the required documentation to the Employment Center in the place where the registration of the employment was made.
The deregistration of employment in the private sector can also be done electronically, only if the registration was made electronically.
The deregistration of employment is done by the employer within 8 days from the date of termination of employment.
